Kadeem Alston-Román is a New York City-based director and choreographer who creates work at the intersection of entertainment and inspiration.
His work spans a wide range of theatrical worlds, from intimate independent theater to large-scale arena productions, always with a focus on creating rehearsal spaces that are collaborative, imaginative and inspiring.
A graduate of the LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts and Muhlenberg College, Kadeem’s directorial and choreographic portfolio includes Off-Broadway productions such as Alive 55+ & Kickin’ and Play The Music Softly at St. Luke's Theatre. His vision has also reached massive audiences at Madison Square Garden and The Prudential Center (K-CON), as well as through indie films like Losing Forward and Essentia.

He currently serves as a Lecturer and Advisor at St. Joseph’s University, where he develops curriculum and mentors students in artistic development. His teaching credits also include New York University (through Camille A. Brown & Dancers), Lehigh University and St. Francis College.
Kadeem’s process is uniquely informed by his expertise as a certified wellness practitioner. He is the co-founder of Full Force Wellness Arts Repertory, an interdisciplinary organization that merged performance with nervous system regulation and socio-emotional development. This holistic background allows him to bring a calm, focused energy to every production, ensuring that his art not only entertains but also uplifts and connects.
He is a proud member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC) and has been featured in publications such as The New York Times, Forbes and Vogue.
Whether he is directing a musical, lecturing at a university, or leading a meditation, Kadeem remains focused on the intersection of art, collaboration and community.
